The Arc of the Virginia Peninsula held their 3rd Annual Winter Gala and Snowflake Ball on December 4, 2009 at the Crown Plaza Marina Hotel in Hampton, VA.

More than 150 people came to celebrate and support The Arc's mission which is to envision a world where people with intellectual and other disabilities enjoy dignified, productive lives of their choosing as fully accepted members of society.

As the guests arrived, a festive Christmas tree decorated with ornaments hand-painted by individuals in the Arc's programs adorned the entrance way and were available to purchase. Also available for previewing and bidding on were the wide array of silent auction items.  Beautiful art by individuals with disabilities, restaurant gift certificates and airline tickets were just some of the more than 40 items up for auction during the evening.

President and CEO of The Arc of the Virginia Peninsula Kasia Grzelkowski welcomed the group to the event and thanked all the sponsors.  Entertainment for the evening was provided by Strickly Business.
