Remembering the Brave Foundation held the Remembering the Brave Ceremony on Friday, October 23, 2009 at 6:30p.m. at the National Museum of the Marine Corps .in Quantico, Virginia.
The Ceremony honoring 65 fallen Marines who had lost their lives in either Iraq or Afganistan brought together Gold Star families from across the country, in a venue that could not have been more of a perfect setting. Photos of lost loved ones as well as mounted uniforms adorned the walls of the Museum.
59 families were given medals, certificates and a yellow rose for each year of service their loved one had served. Mothers, fathers, brothers, sisters, cousins, uncles, aunts and friends filled the Museum to remember not mourn these fallen heros.
The mission of Remembering the Brave Foundation is to ensure the names, faces and deeds of our fallen heros are forever remembered.
